Carlsmith Ball Launches Greater China Practice Group

Carlsmith Ball is pleased to launch its Greater China Practice, a multi-disciplinary practice group aimed to bridge Hawaii and California with businesses and investors from the Greater China region, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The firm’s goal is to serve as bilingual counsel on a wide range of legal matters in connection with transactions or disputes involving Chinese businesses or investors.

Kai Wang, partner and chair of the Greater China practice group, formally announced the practice group at a presentation entitled "Demystifying Chinese Investment," attended by nearly 50 guests. The event, led by Kai, discussed growing Chinese investment on the U.S. mainland and in Hawaii. Attendees gained a better understanding of China’s outbound direct investment, and the cultural influences and other factors at play.
