Jaehee "Lauren" Choi Joins Carlsmith Ball

Carlsmith Ball is pleased to welcome Jaehee “Lauren” Choi as Of Counsel in the firm’s Honolulu office. Choi is a seasoned lawyer and brings nearly two decades of extensive and versatile transactional experience to the firm.

Most recently, Choi worked as a foreign lawyer at Kim & Chang, South Korea’s largest law firm, handling real estate, M&A, finance, and corporate restructuring matters representing multinational companies, financial institutions and global private equity funds. Prior to that, she did M&A and finance work at Bae, Kim & Lee in South Korea and corporate and project finance work in the Tokyo office of Paul Hastings. Choi was shortlisted for Leading Practitioners in M&A and Corporate Governance for Who’s Who Legal’s 2022, 2023 Korea chapter.

Choi is admitted to practice in Hawaii and New York. She received her J.D. from Boston College Law School and her Bachelor of Law, summa cum laude, from Korea University. She is fluent in English, Korean and French.
