Carlsmith Ball's Maui Office Adds Alana R. Chimes
Carlsmith Ball is pleased to announce that Alana R. Chimes is Of Counsel in the firm's Maui Office.
Prior to being licensed in Hawaii, Chimes practiced in California as a business litigator at prominent multinational law firms. There, she represented retail, grocery, restaurant, and timeshare chains, state and city entities, landlords, and property management companies in both state and federal court litigation, including in connection with disabled access and related lease disputes.
Chimes received her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the Fowler School of Law at Chapman University, where she graduated as valedictorian and was an editor of the Chapman Law Review. During law school, Chimes served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Peter H. Carroll in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and for the Honorable W.F. Rylaarsdam in the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District. Additionally, Chimes was the recipient of the William Stallworth Scholarship for work in Contracts, and earned 15 CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for achieving the highest grade in the following law school classes: Contracts I, Contracts II, Property II, Criminal Law, Civil Procedure II, Evidence, Employment Law - Advanced Topics, California Civil Procedure, Intellectual Property, Constitutional Law II, Professional Responsibility, Corporate Governance, Wills & Trusts, Entertainment Law, and Remedies.
She is licensed to practice in Hawaii and California (currently inactive).
