Alicia Fung Selected as 2026 Emerging Legal Star
Hawaii Business Magazine honors Partner Alicia Fung as a 2026 Emerging Legal Star.
Based in the firm’s Honolulu office, Alicia is a member of the Transactional practice group, advising clients on a wide range of business matters with an emphasis on Real Estate & Project Development and Business & Corporate law. She is fluent in conversational Japanese.
Alicia received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Civil Engineering and Minor in Business from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she was a Regents Scholar and a recipient of the Dr. Arthur N. L. Chiu Endowed Scholarship in Civil Engineering. After working as a Construction Engineer, she returned to UH and obtained a J.D., cum laude, from the William S. Richardson School of Law, and a M.B.A. from the Shidler College of Business. Prior to joining the firm, Alicia clerked for the Honorable Derrick M. Chan (Ret.) at the Intermediate Court of Appeals.
Her expertise has been consistently recognized by her peers, and is named in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for Administrative/Regulatory Law, Financial Services Regulation Law, and Real Estate Law. Alicia is also committed to service. She has volunteered with the Commission to Promote and Advance Civic Education since its establishment by the Hawaii Supreme Court, and currently serves as a Board Member for the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association.
