Michelle Kim Stone is Of Counsel in the firm's Honolulu office and is a member of the Transactional practice group. She concentrates her practice on financial institutions and financial regulation, corporate governance and employment law. Michelle began her legal career in private practice as a litigation associate concentrating in commercial real estate, construction and trusts and estates litigation. She later spent over 13 years in a variety of legal and business roles at one of the largest local banks in Hawaii, including five years as its General Counsel. Most recently, Michelle was Corporate Counsel and Director of Legal Operations for Hawaii’s largest professional employer organization.
Michelle received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, and her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii. Michelle also completed a graduate study program in Banking, Finance and Leadership at the Pacific Coast Banking School, University of Washington.
