Love is a member of the firm's Tax, Estate Planning & Wealth Management Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Love was an associate at Baker & McKenzie. His experience includes advising some of Silicon Valley's largest companies on a variety of international tax planning and federal tax controversy matters. Prior to law school, Lucas was a staff auditor at one of the nation's largest and most prestigious accounting firms. He has a law degree from the University of California Berkeley School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law. In addition to his law degree, he has a master's degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Tam is an associate in the firm's Entertainment & Intellectual Property and Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Groups. Prior to joining Carlsmith Ball, she was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis. Her experience has included patent infringement litigation involving medical devices, biotechnology, oil exploration technology, and pharmaceuticals. Earlier in her career, she served as a program coordinator with the Department of the Navy Technology Transfer Program Office, and as a chemical engineer with the Naval Surface Warfare Center Ship Systems Engineering Station. Tam earned her J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center where she was a member of the Journal of International Law.
