CARLSMITH BALL LAW FIRM APPOINTS NEW PARTNERS

HONOLULU - Carlsmith Ball LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of Erika L. T. Lewis and Arsima A. Muller as new partners of the firm.

Lewis specializes in complex civil and commercial litigation, with a focus on land use, tax, trust, and maritime law. Her practice includes representation of charitable trusts, private landowners, developers, and shipping companies. She has significant trial and arbitration experience, including a $54 million jury verdict in a fraudulent transfer case. Lewis received her B.A. degree from the University of in British Columbia, and received her J.D. degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii.

Muller's practice is diverse and covers corporate and business transactions as well as litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She has deep experience in business formations, corporate and finance projects, real estate, and environmental law. She regularly represents clients in civil and commercial litigation matters. After graduating from law school, Muller worked for a Washington, D.C., law firm, representing clients in matters relating to Native American and Alaska Native tribal governments, enterprises, and organizations. She later served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carl. B. Ingram, Chief Justice of the High Court of the Marshall Islands and became a Staff Attorney for the High Court following her clerkship. She received her B.A. degree from Boston College and her J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.
