Mason Yamaki is an associate in the firm's Hilo office. His practice includes commercial litigation, corporate and small business start-ups, real property development, construction law, and government procurement matters. Mr. Yamaki's first career was spent as an engineer working on numerous federal, state, county, and private projects along the West Coast and in Japan. Since his transition to the legal profession, Mr. Yamaki has been involved in bad faith insurance claims, complex construction cases, landlord-tenant disputes, collection and foreclosure proceedings, land use planning and permitting, contractor protests, and numerous other general business matters.

Mr. Yamaki has appeared on behalf of clients before the State of Hawaii Circuit Courts in the First, Third and Fifth Circuits, State of Hawaii District Courts in the First and Third Circuits, State of Hawaii Board of Land and Natural Resources, State of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Office of Administrative Hearings, Hawaii County Board of Appeals, and other non-adjudicatory forums.
