Tom Leuteneker is a partner in the firm's Maui office. He concentrates his practice on real property litigation, with an emphasis on quiet-title and partition litigation and easement disputes including boundary disputes and subdivision problems. He also litigates business and commercial disputes.  He was recently selected by attorney peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2011 for Litigation - Real Estate.

Mr. Leuteneker's practice spans more than 39 years. During this period he has represented major land owners on the island of Maui as well as elsewhere in the state of Hawaii.

Representative Matters

Real Property: Has represented many large Maui land owners in connection with their real property problems. Represents land owners on all major islands in the State of Hawaii in real property disputes. Has had many cases with Hawaiian land claims and Hawaiian Rights claims and has fairly solved those Hawaiian land claims.

Title Insurance: Represents title insurance companies and insureds of title insurance companies in real property disputes.

Mediation: Mediated many real property and commercial disputes, often at the request of Maui Judges. Works to understand the positions of the parties and to offer many options for compromise, looking toward a solution acceptable to all parties.
