Katherine Garson is the Administrative Partner in charge of the firm’s Hilo and Kona offices on the Big Island. She is a member of the firm’s Transactional and Litigation practice groups. Ms. Garson concentrates her practice on real property and land use development including representing land owners before a variety of State and County agencies, boards and commissions. Her work includes land use entitlements permitting, zoning, administrative proceedings and litigation related to real property and land use development.
Ms. Garson previously served as the Assistant Corporation Counsel and a Deputy Corporation Counsel for the County of Hawaii. In that capacity, she provided advice and counsel to the Mayor and County Council, as well as to various departments, boards and commissions within the County, including the Department of Water Supply and the Water Board. As a litigator for the County of Hawaii, Ms. Garson’s case load included condemnation and civil rights cases in both state and federal courts.
